I'm not going to bore you with a long winded, how worthy am I ,
listening to world music etc etc review.
This is the best album of last year. Easily. (i also bought stuff by
Green Day, Pussycat Dolls, Killers, Magic Numbers, Bright Eyes to give
you some context)

I first heard this music in Sweden at a party and it was the first time
I have ever seen a party come to a halt. Even the people who were
talking loudly hushed to take on board the uniqueness of the sound.
It is without doubt the best album of its type to have been released
since the 1970's. The...

Radio3 was analysing/describing the capturing of tracks in Africa,
turned out to be Mali, turned out to be AFK and TD.
I just heard the two names mentioned in one sentence, raced to this
page and ordered. That was four/five days ago. Now on sixth hearing it
is my top CD.

this is a great album, probably the only Pogues album you'll ever need.
I bought this after buying their "The Best of the Pogues" a few months
before, and this one is way better hands down. I have fallen in love
with it and even turned my mom on to it too!

beautifully arranged songs with a diverse set of origins. Only her
French intonation seems a little uncomfortable...
There isn't a duff track on this album...

/ judaic music, that I've ever heard,If you love truly authentic
music, that comes straight from the heart, not only of a truely passionate
female vocalist, but also straight from the 'soul' of the
desert...

I tend to agree with most of the reviewers here who say this is a CD
containing beautiful, peaceful music. I personally prefer the second
track to the first. My only criticism is that it sounds slightly
"westernised", I used to work in the shop that sold "World Music" and
often the music was a...

Sultry is a word best used sparingly when describing female singers from
foreign lands, but it seems wholly appropriate with Souad Massi. The air
seems to ripples with heat and dust as her alternatively plaintive and
passionate voice weaves in and out of the staccato rhythms of flamenco
guitars, and...

Be prepared for a world tour of music! The latest album from Nitin
Sawhney is as eclectic as ever. He manages to overlay an array of genres
to compile an exciting compilation that is surely his best so far. Each
track offered is better than the last. If you are a fan of Nitin Sawhney
and his amazing...
